Contemporary Performance is a social network and community organizing platform and blog providing artists, presenters, scholars and festivals a platform to meet, share work, and collaborate. The term Contemporary Performance is used to describe hybrid performance works and artists that travel between the fields of Theatre, Dance, Video Art, Visual Art, Code, Music Composition and Performance Art without adhering to one specific field’s practice. The network was founded in 2010 and has since grown to include 7600 members from 81 countries on www.contemporaryperformance.org and 72k followers on Facebook. The Contemporary Performance Blog was founded in 2009 and has developed a dedicated listserve readership of 9000 with 1700 posts.
