Description:
The Render is an immersive multimedia performance by Big Art Group in collaboration with TSV – Teatro Nazionale, exploring the intricate web of challenges that climate change poses to humanity and the natural world. Situated in the city of Venice, The Render is an installation performance inside a space layered with cameras, projections, bodies, and sound that explores behaviors within and across community networks. Resisting the impulse to despair, The Render explores strategies of re-aligning actions towards homes, locations, ecologies, and communities.
The Arterminal in Venice, a city uniquely bound to its relationship with water, emerges as a symbolic site where the challenges faced by humans and animals intersect with the urgent realities of climate change. It serves as a microcosm of the larger global climate crisis, where environmental transformation and adaptation are imperative. Big Art Group builds on its legacy of visionary performance to underscore the narratives we craft to understand and respond to the changing world. It is a reflection of the interplay between what matters in our attempts to fathom the complexities of climate change, what stories we choose to illuminate these issues, and how our interconnected actions ripple through life on Earth.
